This is an original Japanese poster printed at the premiere of TRON in 1982.

Tron (pronounced TRON) is a 1982 American science fiction action-adventure film written and directed by Steven Lisberger and based on a story by Lisberger and Bonnie McBird. The film stars Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner, David Warner, Cindy Morgan, and Bernard Hughes. Bridges plays Kevin Flynn, a computer programmer and video game developer who is transported into the software world of a mainframe computer and manipulates the program as he attempts to escape. Tron, along with The Last Starfighter, is known as one of the earliest computer-generated imagery (CGI)-heavy works in film history. An arcade video game tie-in was released shortly after the film and was named "Best Coin-Op Game of the Year" by Electronic Games magazine.

Tron spawned multiple video games and became a cult film, leading to a multimedia franchise that includes manga and an anime television series.
